Dr Donald Hoskins MBE

The founder and artistic director of the Aminta Orchestra, has enjoyed an outstanding and versatile career both as a conductor and pianist and also in academic and administrative roles.

A graduate of the University of Wales, Donald Hoskins appeared with Eduard van Beinum, Clarence Raybould and other distinguished conductors. He commenced his teaching career in the Midlands where he also conducted choral and orchestral concerts, and performed concertos with the Birmingham
Philharmonic Orchestra.

Following a period as lecturer in music at Eastbourne College of Education, Donald Hoskins became Head of the Music Centre
at the University of East London.
